Ms. Annamaria Kalman brings with her an experience of more than nine years, having worked in the education field in Europe and in Hong Kong as well.

She has started her professional journey by finishing her Bachelor Degree in English Language and Literature. She has developed great passion and interest in Early Childhood education, and worked as an English Teacher for several years in international kindergarten settings.

She continued her studies, further deepening her knowledge in Early Childhood Education, by studying a Post Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood at Hong Kong Baptist University. She is influenced by several teaching approaches, such as the Reggio Emilia and Inquiry Based Teaching Approach. She is now leading and inspiring a group of educators at GIS, who get inspired by her passion and dedication to the Early Childhood Education field.

Ms. Kalman recently graduated from a Certification Course for Kindergarten Principals, which enabled her to network with fellow principals from other well-known international schools in Hong Kong. Being a lifelong learner, she is ready to embark on a new journey, by enrolling into a Master's Program focusing on Educational Leadership.

Mrs. Wong  has worked in the Education Bureau for 30 years before retirement. She has  extensive experience in curriculum development, teacher education and quality assurance of schools.  Since retirement she has continued her work in education as school manager. She is currently council member of a renowned NGO serving the intellectually challenged. Her role includes being chairman of the education committee, member of the social services committee, school  supervisor and centre supervisor of the preschool centre.

Ms. Esther joined Galilee International School (GIS) staff team since March 2014. This is her 9th year in teaching in an Early Childhood setting. 

Ms. Esther graduated from Great Lakes Christian College and Cornerstone University. Prior joining GIS staff team, Ms. Esther worked as a Preschool and Childcare Co-director in Grand Ledge, Michigan, for seven years. 
She believes that learning is a lifelong journey. This year, she is furthermore developing the Bible curriculum at GIS. 
Ms. Esther hold a Master’s Degree in Cross Cultural Studies and recently graduated from a Certification Course for Kindergarten Principals from Hong Kong Baptist University.


Ms. Esther’s favorite Bible verse is, Proverbs 2:9-12. 
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
 For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.
 If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.”

Anika is a passionate and experienced educator, she has worked in Hong Kong since 2008. She has held roles as Teacher, Lead Teacher, ICT Coordinator, Digital and Information Literacy Coordinator and Assistant Manager in various kindergartens.

Anika believes that quality early childhood education is key to the future success of children and the subsequent development of a sustainable society. During her fifteen years of teaching experience, Anika has taught a range of curriculum including the IB Primary Years Program (PYP), Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and is a strong believer in a child centred approach to learning. 

 Anika is familiar with inquiry-based learning of the IB PYP curriculum and is passionate about teaching early years. She has been a facilitator of teacher development workshops and has published articles in early childhood journals.

She loves to see children growing in who God has called them to be, which is loving, joyful and brave.

Mr. Tim was born and raised in the beautiful state of Michigan, U.S.A. He attended Spring Arbor University and Great Lakes Christian College while studying Elementary Education. Mr. Tim has been working with children on a daily basis for nine years, Mr. Tim worked as a lead teacher at Delta Mills Child Care where he worked with a variety of different children with unique, individual needs. Mr. Tim believes that students can become more successful and confident when they have a strong language foundation. It is important to equip students with this strong educational foundation because they are the future generation of leaders.

Ms. Vivian was born in Hong Kong and moved to Canada when she was 5 years old. She has always loved children from a young age and babysat, volunteered at a daycare and even tutored piano. When she graduated from university, she taught English in Japan for a year. Later, she returned to Hong Kong and after testing out her career in advertising, Ms. Vivian felt that it was her calling from God to change careers into education. She is very happy to be here and excited to learn and grow with the students and plans to get a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Ms Katrina was born and raised in Lithuania, Europe. She has graduated from Lithuania Business School and shortly after that she moved to Hong Kong to pursue her career in international trading.
Education has always been a passion for Ms. Katrina. Being a mother of three wonderful children gave her the motivation to switch careers and to start pursuing a path in Early Childhood Education. She is an enthusiastic educator, who is very keen to learn more about various teaching approaches and strategies.
